What We Collect

When you sign up for the Digital Harvest notification list or CASP-1 program, we collect:

• First name, last name, and email address
• How you found the site (optional selection)
• Professional background (if applying for CASP-1)
• Country of origin (detected automatically via Cloudflare)

If you complete the CASP-1 Debrief Instrument (reader survey), we collect your survey responses including ratings, written feedback, and any blurb text you voluntarily provide.

If you purchase Intel Vault access, Stripe processes your payment. We receive your email address and a transaction reference, we do not receive or store credit card numbers.

How We Use Your Data

• To send you the emails you signed up for (notification list, CASP-1 program communications)
• To deliver your CASP-1 materials if you are selected as an advance reader
• To grant Intel Vault access upon debrief completion or purchase
• To analyze aggregate survey responses (individual responses are confidential)
• Blurb text is only used with your explicit permission as indicated in the survey

Who Has Access

Your data is accessible only to Robert J. Green (the author) and is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (KV storage and R2 file storage). We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party except:

• Resend, transactional email delivery (processes your email address to deliver messages)
• Stripe, payment processing (only if you purchase vault access)
• Cloudflare, infrastructure provider (data storage and hosting)

Email Communications

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it immediately stops all future emails. We honor unsubscribe requests instantly, not the 10-day maximum allowed by law, but immediately.

After unsubscribing, we retain your record solely to ensure we do not email you again and to maintain any vault access you have earned or purchased. If you want complete data deletion, use the form below.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to:

• Access, request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Rectification, request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure, request permanent deletion of all your data
• Restriction, request we stop processing your data
• Portability, request your data in a machine-readable format

Data Retention

• Subscriber records, retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Survey responses, retained indefinitely for aggregate analysis unless you request deletion
• Vault access tokens, retained permanently to maintain your access (deleted on erasure request)
• Unsubscribe records, retained to prevent re-sending (deleted on full erasure request)

This website uses localStorage to remember your vault access token for convenience.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site, and Google Ads conversion measurement to see which of our articles and listings lead readers to the book. These services set cookies and may collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and the referring site. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the site and to measure whether our writing reaches readers. We do not sell your data.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts. The site works normally either way.

The gated Intel Vault and CASP-1 debrief pages carry no analytics, so your reading and survey activity there is not sent to any third party.
